#8| It’s kind of a funny story

She loved Art and poetry…

Leona, the girl with the latest clothes and designer bags, expensive make-up and shiny hair. Everybody thought she had it good, but what did they knew about her ?

Leona lived in a big house with her older brother Eliot and her dad, her dad was a business man and was most of the time out-of-town. Eliot was following their dads foot steps to money and success.

When Leona was 11 her mother passed away, the only woman who had her back when there was an argument at home, or the one that gave her fashion advice and told her bedtime stories. Leona was the kind of girl who loved art and poetry but nobody knew, the girl who loved to cook and vintage clothing, but her dad didn’t knew her that way. He wanted his daughter to look fabulous and rich so that he can say that he did it great as a single dad with two kids.

In high school the new kids always thought that she was a mean girl ready to talk trash. But the truth is she wasn’t, because there was more to it. She was kind and lovely, open to help people and ready to learn new things.

Leona always felt bad by wearing what her dad’s stylist bought her, it was too expensive or too red carpet like.

“Can I buy my own clothes and be who I want to be, because this isn’t who I am and you know that’s true” Leona said to her father. “All I want is for you to be happy, for you to look good and beautiful.” Leona knew her dad was trying hard but by changing her things won’t be solved.

This one day at school someone she knew but never had a long conversation with walked up to her, to ask her if is she wanted to hang out, Leona said yes and they had a very good time. “You wear expensive clothes, but you don’t act like a girl who has a lot of money so what is it with you?” Emily asked. “The truth is that I don’t even like these clothes, it makes me feel bad for those who have nothing. With my clothes you could give a homeless person a home, food and a pair of shoes.” And that’s when Emily told her about what was written in the bible:

Matthew 19:21 “Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

“Have you ever gone to church? In church we’re part of something, of someone; we are parts of Christ, he is the head and we are the other parts, we are united.” But being a part of the church also means that you’re committed, just like you’re committed in you’re marriage, you are active in the church and you know your place.

Flashbacks came back from the old days, the days when things were just okay, when Leona’s mom was still alive and the praising hours on Sunday mornings that made the church a home were Christians unite. It was all okay. Leona thought about going again, since her mom died they never went to church anymore.

“Can we go to church again” Leona asked to her father on a Saturday morning. He did not know where this was coming from. Thinking about this in Leona’s father perspective, he has been sacred to return. A man who is emotional, vulnerable and  cries, a man who humiliates himself in a crowed. before he met Leona’s mother he was lost in darkness, Leona’s beloved mother Stephanie gave him the hope and made him see, that life is nothing without God.

But what will his answer be after that question?

It’s kind of a funny story, but you’ll have to wait till next time.

tumblr_mjrmvmgHKx1s2au4oo1_500“You can kiss all the frogs you want and hope to find your prince charming by searching with your own eyes, but what if you fixed your eyes and searched for the light ? Will it not be better if God showed you prince charming instead of ‘you’ kissing every frog?”

Daisy is a nice girl with a big heart, but shy and quite like a silent cloud. She could cry every time when she looked in the mirror, wondering why people couldn’t see her any clearer. She felt ugly and alone, even though she was in a big crowed full of people.

Daisy is a romantics and knows everything about love, she knew God loved her before she was born, but sometimes she had her doubts. She knew what kind of guy she wanted, but was he the one she needed? And this time God said: “No my precious child he is not the man you need, you need a man who loves you as much as he loves me. But how can you love someone if you never loved me?”

Daisy was so upset not because of what God said, she felt lonely and ugly and felt like no one ever wanted to hold her tiny hand.

Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

She focused on her study and left God on her book shelf, later from time to time she paid a visit and walked away, she was amazed by every story; she was amazed by every letter. It was so easy after all that pain to let it go and grow as a woman, to grow in spirit.

Matthew 6:31-33: “Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

She became a strong young lady, brave with an even bigger heart. Josh, was the guy she met when she only focused on God. He held her tiny hand and told stories about the Lord, she Left all her doubts behind and her ugly thoughts, for once she felt loved and beautiful by a real gentleman; a gift from God. It took her a while to realize what she was worth, no man on earth could touch her heart and show her what she was worth. It was all God who made her grow and see, once you let him, he will make let you be; the one you were meant to be.

She was so lucky that God even picked him. Daisy and Josh became one and invested everything in him and that, that is love.

Proverbs 3:5-7: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.”

You can’t build a relationship by putting the one you see first, once you accept God in your life you accept Gods work and what he’s about to put on your path. When you go into a relationship ask yourself: “Where am I standing with God and did God tell me he is the one?”

And it’s kind of a funny story because God gave her an opportunity to change and become a wife. Self-pity is never an option, don’t give the devil the idea of wining by destroying you, there is no need to drown yourself when God gave you a new day to try all over again. When you choose God, you choose life, love and opportunities.

large (7)“Hi, I hardly see you anymore, what happened to our sandwich-switch days?” Asked Brandy

Brandy was Nathan’s best friend from church, they’ve known each other since forever. Church? Yes church, his aunt was a Christian and so is Nathan’s mom. Nathan used to go because he felt like he had to, later it became a choice. At first it was to impress Brandy but later he started to question his decision, from impressing to expression. But after what happened he barely went and  decided to drown his quilt and pain in alcohol.

“Oh hi, I’ve been very busy. But I got a tuna sandwich if you want?” “Busy? Busy?! Really it’s just switching sandwiches drunk2and having a little chat how can you be busy for that, tell me?” Brandy said grinning while rolling her eyes at the same time.

The thing about these two is that they weren’t separable as kids, even in high school they were very close as freshmen, but things slowly started to change. New friends, new interests, different classes.

Not to lose their friendship they decided to have sandwich-switch days by Brandy’s locker every Monday, (to catch up on the weekends) Wednesdays, (to talk about the boring teachers) and Fridays. (to talk about every random thing that comes to mind, and some details in their every daily life)

They talked for a while just like old times, and it always feels good when you do that. “It was good talking to you but we’re not done, come over to my house later today and if you don’t I will personally show up at yours” Brandy said while putting her books in her backpack, ready to go to class.

Nathan decided to go to Brandy’s house, he needed some distraction other than getting drunk on a Wednesday night, which definitely wasn’t his plan. Brandy did not know about his drinking and smoking, at least that’s what he thought. He felt helpless and didn’t want brandy to know, it’s that kind of feeling when you feel like everything and everyone is against you when it comes to being open about your thoughts and feelings, besides Nathan didn’t want brandy to think differently of him.

“Good you showed up! My parents aren’t home yet, you know where everything is, it is and will always be self service.”

Brandy was a girl with interests in others, she was open about being a Christian and was willing to be there for others. She was a little like aunt Stella but Brandy would stare at you until you come clean about the truth you’re holding back, because she knows, she always did.

7:00 PM Wednesday Night, the night when Nathan came clean  about everything. It’s hard to lie to a person like Brandy, but unlike other people Brandy wasn’t  there to judge.

Brandy could tell him he was dumb to even turn his back to God and drown in his guilt, smoking and drinking wouldn’t get him anywhere. Hit him, and give the parenting speech about how alcohol and cigarets are bad for you. Look at him and cry (as if that would help?) so that he would feel even more quilt than he’s already carrying. But Brandy isn’t like that, she decided to let him talk, God only knows why he did the things he did.

“It’s no excuse, it was an escape. I didn’t know why I did it, I felt alone and hopeless. I started drinking when my dad decide to blame me for everything, throwing bottles to my face as if I was nothing, meant nothing and deserved nothing. Smoking was the best way to forget all the pain, getting out this world, you know? Ever since my mom had to go back to Mexico I never felt the same, a peace of me left and when my aunt died my other half died with her. Am I ever going to feel normal again?”

“Life isn’t easy, they say God gives his toughest battles to his stronger soldiers. The truth is you made it too hard for yourself, I guess God knew you could handle it because you’re right here standing in my house unless you’re a ghost. Which I hope not, but the thing is, you could’ve come to me, we could’ve prayed. You haven’t been going to church since everything that happend, I knew you had it hard but it was your own battle you had to fight, not completely alone but together with God, it was also very hard to talk to you since you’ve been avoiding me, sandwich buddies remember?”

They prayed, on Sunday Nathan decided to go to church with Brandy. He felt different, he felt new but what happend that he could see a whole different view?..

Luke 22:46:  “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.”

Fight as hard as you can because through Christ everything is possible, don’t get distracted by what happens in this world, in your life and around you. The generation we life in right now is in great danger, the youth is being tempted by electronic devices, experimenting things that were referred as sins in the bible. I could write a 3000 word post of Nathan changing his ways, he could end up falling in the arms of darkness or be picked up by the light of God. Just as our lives we have to make our story work, are we willing to give up our possessions for an internal life ? Or burn in fire and fear because we were blinded by a 100 dollor bill?

God loves all, God loves us so much he gave up his only son. Nathan’s story is not finished but he decided to come clean. it’s your turn to finish his story, what do you think? He walked through darkness, he walked through live. but is he ready to change his whole life?

Isaiah 1:18: “Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool”.

Roman 8:34-39:  “Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Xo, Gely

(I decided not to make a whole new story, it’s important for us to make our own choices. Nathan came clean and told Brandy everything, Brandy is just a friend who is as close to god as Nathan was before. His story changed twice, I could’ve written an happy ending or i could’ve made it a sad one. Now for the third change it’s up to you how think about how things will end, not only in Nathan’s life but also in your own. Where ar you know and are you ready for God to take over ?)

#6| It’s kind Of A funny Story: Part I

drunk2He looked perfect on the outside  but was destroyed on the inside. Nathan was the kind of guy who was quiet and fun. People respected him and they wondered about him, he was so mysterious because he barely talked. He was the kind of boy who would party Friday nights and get drunk on Saturdays before the sun came up, and when the weekend was over the pressure was on because of school and working at the McDonald’s in the mall.

After something that happened a year ago; Nathan was stressed and could barely focus, even before that ‘something’ he was a sweet quiet boy. He fought his ways through life with alcohol and smoking pot, it was a medicine that could make large (7)him forget everything for a moment; at least that’s what he hoped.

Ephesians 5:18 – Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit”

This is how things went down: New Years Eve.

On New Years eve Nathan’s aunt passed away, don’t get all confused with The Perks of Being a Wallflower but she also did get in a car accident. Nathan was crushed, his dad seemed to handle it pretty well; outdoors. Indoors it was a blood bath without sober decisions. His aunt was the only person alive to remind him of hope, but then when she died he did not know what to do and how to believe.

Nathan’s parents were separated from each the other, his mother had to go back to Mexico and his dad did not know how to handle things and started drinking. It was okay at the beginning but then things got pretty ugly and his dad started hitting him, throwing bottles to his face and blame him for what happened to his mother. Nathan could not go back to Mexico, not yet. His mother told him over he phone that he couldn’t come live with her in Mexico unless he gets his diploma so that he can easily get as job in Mexico and be happy.

You may wonder why Nathan’s dad did not buy the first plane ticket to Mexico, ask help from his family, do some paper work and live happily ever after with is wife. He couldn’t , he was fired  2 weeks before his wife got sent back to Mexico. They weren’t rich or poor but they needed the money to eat and pay rent, and Nathan’s dad wasn’t in good terms with his family because of trouble with money. Nathan’s mother couldn’t let them come to Mexico when she knew there was a future ahead for her only son. She couldn’t let him suffer because he had the right documents and she didn’t which was the same for her husband.

That’s when aunt Stella came in the picture, she’s a California girl with crazy fantasies and the older sister of Nathans dad. She always told Nathan how much his parent loved him and couldn’t decide  between the names Nath, Collin and Andrew so Aunt Stella stepped in and told them no nephew of her’s is going to be named Nath, Collin or Andrew because there were to much of them already in this family. And that’s when aunt Stella came up with Nathan, “Why is Nathan an exception and Nath isn’t, it’s exactly the same but there’s a -an behind it?” “That’s the fun part, it makes you different.”  and started giggling, she always did that!

Aunt Stella was one of a kind, and the only person Nathan had a bond with in his family. She gave him hope,  talked as if she was the best coach of an American football team and helped him get through the roughest times in his life. Aunt Stella was a fighter and believed that all thing through Christ were; no IS possible, Nathan always asked her: “That’s odd don’t you think? No mean to be disrespectful but what has he ever done for you, for US?” And aunt Stella would always tell her story with a big smile. ” Well.. where should I begin? Hm.. He died at the cross because of our sins, you know that if it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t even be here? He gave you and your father a house when he could easily let you sleep beside the trash since it’s not so easy to pay rent, but look at you you’re still doing it aren’t you?! But my story..Well, I’m not going to brag about it but I’m an adventurous unlike anyone in this world. I can have fun and speak as much as I want about God, I mean how cool is that?! I wanted to travel a bit for 2 years and let everyone know who God is, work with young troubled children who want to receive God’s word and I got to that so that’s pretty cool!”

Aunt Stella was also a sarcastic person, Nathan always called her Queen WanderluSarcasmm. 1. Because she was really sarcastic. 2. Because yeah adventurous, wanderlust get it? And 3. Aunt Stella had a thing for Paris so somehow WanderluSarcasumm sounded french.

Aunt Stella always said to Nathan: “But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded. 2 Chronicles 15:7 Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins. – Isaiah 58:1 This is written in the bible my dear, don’t you ever forget what he did for you.”

And when aunt Stella died so did all his hopes and dreams at the same time.. Now is the question how did he survive all that drinking and smoking to forget the pain he was holding back? That’s kind of funny question because that we’ll read the next time…

Friendship is something so beautiful…

Leona was a girl who loved nature, she would stay outside even when it is was raining. At school she tried her best to get her grades up and studied very hard, she also had a group of friends which she hung out with and they were very close. Micheal, Emily, Luke and Leona her self.

The guys were mostly busy playing video games but together they had so much fun! There was this one time the guys decided to go up against the girls in playing some weird war game, and whoever won got a jar of Oreo cookies (at least 100 in it) and the losers got to drink milk that was way expired. They are all Christians and they help each other when things go wrong but also when things go right, like who wouldn’t want their best friends around when you win a giant pizza!

Romans 12:15: “Laugh with your happy friends when they’re happy; share tears when they’re down.”

One day the pressure was really high, finals were coming up and Leona had a little argument with one of her friends, Emily. Because Leona was way more outside doing nothing while they could hang out, her love for nature was never a problem everyone accepted it, she would study the bible and stare at the beautiful flowers and besides that, she would spend time with her friends on the weekends and sometimes on Wednesdays. So when all of a sudden her friend gets upset, Leona took time to figure things out and prayed for it, she went the Emily and asked her why was so mad all of a sudden. “I’m so sorry, I’m just so jealous of you because you got everything figured out and your bond with God is so strong. I know I shouldn’t be jealous but can you teach me how to be a better child of God?” Leona didn’t saw that coming but she was super happy with what her friend asked her. “But of course, you could just ask I wouldn’t even be mad.” Leona and Emily spend more time in Leona’s secret garden of flowers to take time for God, it isn’t easy being a Christian and sure it’s a lot of work but it’ll be worth it.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.  If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.”

Leona’s finals went great, she graduated and made of the summer that came after one big event! Leona and her group of friends hung out at the beach and told their stories, the funny moments and that moment that will last forever. They also went camping together to leave the world behind and celebrate what God had done, the little things and the massive things because our God is the alpha and omega he, is infinite and beyond.Emily apologized one more time and thanked her for the help, and after that, they and their group of friends stayed in contact after going to different colleges.

This is kind of a funny story because God gave us a reason to help each other if it is for him or even to tie a shoe lace. We were made to love each other and help each other and Leona didn’t saw it coming when her friend asked her for help, in belief and faith. But she did help her and the friendship they’re still having is because of God. Friendship is something really important because one person can’t look out for him/herself, two can help each other and four friends can look out for each other from left to right, behind and straight forward, it’s something so wonderful.

#4| It’s Kind Of A Funny Story

Bullies did her nothing because she has a God much greater and stronger…

She had the kind of love for odd things that nobody understood, she loved plants and trees. Rain and stars in the deep dark night. Ashley was bullied for what she loved and the weirdest thing of all what people thought was odd, was that she loved God more than the oddest things in this world. They called her names, said she was ugly, weird and they even hit her.

Ashley has been sad for years but she didn’t saw it as a depression, she had her ups and downs but if they brought her down? No way, she wouldn´t let that happen, she got it, heard it and got over it. God was her only friend after realizing that being sad wasn´t worth anything, God was there through her darkest times, God was there lying with her on the grass while looking to the stars, God knew what would’ve become of Ashley if she turned to God. Ashley could read the bible every day but she preferred the night so she could fall asleep while thinking about what she had read before bed, God made her feel special because he was always there. She also had her secret places were she loved to read, among plants and beautiful trees. Ashley stayed there most of the time trying to read her bible to keep God close to her heart and while going through the pages she learned to love her enemies.

Matthew 5:43-54: “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’  But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,  that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

Ashley forgave her bullies after realizing being sad is worth nothing and to fulfill God’s will. When she was little her mother always taught her to be strong, her mother told her to stand up for herself by not paying attention to the bullies. As Ashley grew up it became easier to do so as her mother taught her and became proud of her self-growth as a person. Years went by and Ashley was almost graduating from high school, “Hey uhm.. Weren’t you the girl from middle school? We uhm.. I” said Max. “You don’t have to say anything I already forgave you, years ago and that God may forgive you too,” Ashley said with a smile. “I’m really sorry and I hope you didn’t suffer because of what I and the others did to you,” said Max. “It’s okay really”.

1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Ashley graduated and she survived the past years, nobody ever bullied her again because it didn’t do her anything. Max even asked her out to make it up to her, they became friends and even later they began dating. Max was sorry that he even changed his ways, he trusted God as well and asked him for forgiveness. Then you learn that the person you bullied/bully have a heart too, imagine you being bullied how would you feel? Max learned that there was more to life, think about what you’ve done are you ready to leave it all behind and turn to God?

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

It’s kind of a funny story because Ashley stayed strong, she trusted God and God alone. God and Ashley are close friends and as a special gift for her patient and faith, God gave her a partner to become one and be closer to God. Seams cliché but things like this could actually happen someday. when you think back it’s kind of a funny story.

She never gave up on her dream..tumblr_nmfsq3Gb7X1sg2aiqo1_500

Stephanie had a dream, she wanted to travel the world one day or at least go to some awesome places. She worked so hard to get the money she needed, studied twice as hard to get a great diploma and believed in God ten times harder than everything and everyone she ever believed in. She was the kind of girl who read books about cities like no other, researched the bible word by word and prayed for more power to get through this world.

Stephanie once told everyone that she wanted to go to London really bad. Visite great museums and meet new people, she always loved to meet new people so that she could talk about God and his great work, how much he did for her and her family after really rough but also happy moments. Stephanie had to take care of her mother because she was very sick, her dad worked full-time to pay the bills. Stephanie never gave up, she worked so hard for her mom as well as she worked for her dream there were days when she felt like giving up and when those days came she turned to God. She dropped everything and focussed on God and God only, no books about cities, no daydreams about where to go, just God. After graduation she decided not to go to college and work for her family and dream.

2 Chronicles 15:7: “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

“Why are you still so obsessed with this bible and travel things, you’re never going to those places and that God may not even be real”. Stephanie never understood why people said that, they didn’t know God and they didn’t know her dream. “Maybe you should ask yourself why you quit your dream and you’re so against my believe”. Is what  Stephanie said every time someone asked her that.

Finally after babysitting, working at Forever 21, tutoring and doing a paper round for years she managed to get so much money that she could travel to some amazing places. Her mom got better and her parents were so proud and thankful for what she had done, “It was God who made you better not me, it was God who made us stronger not me. I only prayed and asked for a helping hand but God, he did everything”, said Stephanie . With the money Stephanie saved for her dream she went to London, Paris,  Amsterdam, Tokyo and Sydney the 5 destinations she was dying to explore. She met new people on her way and told about God, about how he gave up his only son just for us, how he loves us, how he’s protecting us, how he is still watching us and guiding. Everyone was quiet when they heard about Stephanie, “Is it real? Did you really got enough money to pursue your dream? This God, can you tell us more about him? How did this happened?”

Proverbs 16:3: Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

Believe, that’s what happened. Stephanie never gave up on her dream after everything that happened and when she looks back, it’s kind of a funny story because after hard work and doing her part her mother healed slowly and Stephanie got to live her dream. All that happened through faith and believe.

2#| It’s kind of a funny story

It’s kind of a funny story, he was looking for comfort in something that was meant to kill…

He never talked about his feelings like most guys, but he was really special like every child God has in his heart. I’d like to call him Nathan. Nathan was a straight A student and everybody liked him, the boys wanted to be him and the girls wanted to have him. “He is perfect” is what everybody said when the subject became about Nathan, people had high expectations for him because of his great work and fantastic grades. Nathan was under a lot of pressure, but he kept fighting.

He had to work his butt off to get an A instead of a B, if he got a B his dad wouldn’t be so happy. It was okay because Nathan knew he could do it, his dad didn’t believe in God but he did. Nathan believed that if he just did his part and let God do the rest he would get through that semester, just like every year. Nathan’s mom was a hard worker and said she wished his father could turn back and put all his faith in God, and his dad was a cranky old man, like that guy Red from The 70’s Show. And his older sister Natalie was all about God and what he’d done for us, her faith was so strong and I don’t know about every guy in this world but he truly looked up to her.

Weeks went by and Nathan passed his exams and was ready for graduation, he had worked so hard and look where that led him. He was off to a new start at a fantastic college.”I couldn’t do it without him, I’m so thankful for his work”. What are you talking about? Was what his father said. “The only reason why you go through this is because I made you work your butt off, if I hadn’t you would be stuck her for another year doing drugs like those other kids!”

His father had been though it, he had looked for comfort in something that was meant to kill. He was 15 when his mother passed away because of a car accident before she died she always said:

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah  29:11

She trusted her son and hoped he’d be a great believer of God one day, with a great job a family and a roof to live under. Nathan’s father was also a straight A student but ended up doing drugs because he couldn’t handle the future. People pushed him into doing things that he didn’t like, and because of all that he almost threw his future away. So when Nathan told him; “You have to let go, dad, God knows what you’ve been through”. His dad shed a tear and asked his son to pray for him. After praying his father said sorry for what he’d done, sorry for pushing Nathan too hard. He was afraid that if he didn’t Nathan would end up doing drugs, Nathan’s mother and sister were very proud of what Nathan had done.

Nathan in college, Natalie in her own home with her new family and their parents back to the church to leave the past behind. Nathan’s father found comfort in the stories of the bible and become one with our God who had planned this since the beginning of time. It’s kind of a funny story, because look at how God works through our lives. He took his time to make Nathan stronger and his father a faithful man.

Romans 8:28: And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

to hide it but she never gave up. She told the world she wasn’t planning on taking her life because that would be a sin and that’s not right, she told people she trusts God and she won’t give up. Put all her trust in him, prayed and got up. Things got worse and everyone said it was time to let go, all that trying and praying won’t help her no more. She said ‘no not today, because he’ll help me, guide me and surprise me to and with new day.

This is how things went down..

She couldn’t pay her rent, because somehow her money was gone her house was somewhat falling apart and she couldn’t handle it anymore. Her job was terrible she had to work twice as much because she wasn’t getting enough to pay for food, clothes, rent, water and heat every month. “When are you finally giving up and move back to your parents, this city is to big for you there is no way you can handle.” She got on her knees and prayed to him. A year went by and things got better, she got a new house, a better job and all her bills were payed. People were amazed by what happened to her, they started to wonder who this God is. It made them question their none-believe.

It’s kind of a funny story because she always trusted him, our God the king of all kings and look what happened after a full year. The non-believers became believers, and the girl who went through this story became stronger.

Actually when you think back, it’s kind of a funny story…

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

(I’s kind of a funny story is not a real story, it’s something I made up. This story is not completely made up because there a some parts that really happened in lives from people I know a long time, I am amazed by their stories and I admire how strong they are. It’s kind of funny story will be my new series of short stories just to show the world that God is really working through our lives. This title is also inspired by the book It’s kind of a funny story, I never read it but this title never left my mind.Tell what you think bellow and feel free to share your ideas and thoughts about It’s kind of a funny story.)
