Who am I to say that I am in the light while I am still walking through darkness, change a world in 6 days and do as I want to on my own terms?
God will bring many tornadoes (storms) in our lives, not to destroy us, not to hurt us or send us into the wrong direction. But to test our loyalty and faithfulness and guide us to the right path. You may not understand what he is doing now, but soon you will. These storms were created because of what we did in the past that seemed right at that time, but sometimes what seems right can be wrong decisions and cause us to stumble.
God will never put you through something you cannot handle, he would never put you in a place that can lead you to internal darkness.
Things happen for a reason and mostly because of the decisions we made in our lives, a long time ago we learned this in bible study.
1 John 1:5-10: This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true; 7 but if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
What I took from this bible study is that it can be tough sometimes to walk through this world, and when you know you did something wrong or committed a huge sin; confess it. It is a horrible feeling when you hide something from your father, your best friend and walk through life as if nothing happened. God may forgive you but there will be consequences to what you caused. For example the pastor said; If a young girl sleeps with a man because of lust and bares a child without being married, the consequences are that she has to raise that child.
Galatians 6:8: “If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.”
Sure things happen for a reason but once again, because of the decisions we make in our live. It does not mean that God will forsake her, now God will see if she truly has faith and remains faithful to him even if things get really tough. He doesn’t do this to hurt her, because he is always there with us through our toughest battles.
2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Gods love is so pure and beautiful.
Micah 7:18-19: Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of your possession? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in showing clemency. 19 He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
So remember; It’s a bad day, not a bad life.
