1 John 4:7-10

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins”

Love is something so powerful and in August I’ve been focused on this because of my family, love includes family and forgiveness.

Last Friday my sister got engaged and I was really happy for her, we met her fiance brothers and sisters and they were all very nice too bad they live in Russia and Angola. I just knew them for 4 days and I already love them and accept them for who they are, even before I met them I was so thrilled and in love with the fact that my family was getting bigger.

I just want to say that family is very important, you should tell them you love them every single day because you’ll never know if there will be another day.

Families were made to accept each other for who they are and to teach each other the will of God. The amazing part about meeting my new brothers from Russia was when I got home from church and cleaned up before the rest got home, I was listing to Hillsong Young & Free – Wake and one of the guys knew the song (always fantastic when someone knows your favorite jam haha) and started to sing. I know it sounds simple but I thought it was amazing. They are also fantastic dancers like.. wow, seriously haha.

I had so much fun meeting them all, and August was certainly my favorite because of all the beautiful things I’ve learned about love and family.

Reminder: Tell someone you love them, it doesn’t matter if you haven’t spoken in forever. Just tell them you love them dearly.

Xo, Gely
